The Vortex / South Florida

Unattended Retail for workplaces and shared spaces.

The Vortex is exploring South Florida locations for simple self-serve retail and breakroom convenience setups. The goal is to make snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items easier to access for the people already in your building, while keeping it simple for the host location.

What It Is

A self-serve setup for snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items.

An unattended market is a self-serve snack and drink setup installed in places where people already spend time. Think of it as a breakroom upgrade. Instead of a vending machine or a trip to the gas station, people in your building have access to a well-stocked, easy-to-use self-serve station for snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items.

It is designed to be low-lift for the host location. The setup is built around the needs of the space and the people who use it.

Where It Fits

The kinds of spaces we are looking at.

South Florida locations with regular daily foot traffic and a shared area where a convenience setup would make sense.

Corporate Offices
Mid-to-large office buildings with employees who benefit from on-site convenience without leaving the floor.
Coworking Spaces
Shared offices and flex spaces with members who spend long hours and want accessible snack and drink options nearby.
Apartment Communities
Residential buildings with a clubhouse, lobby, or common area where residents gather regularly.
Boutique Gyms and Studios
Fitness studios and wellness spaces where members look for convenient options before or after a session.
Hotel Common Areas
Lobbies, business centers, and common spaces where guests want quick, accessible options around the clock.
Healthcare Waiting Areas
Medical offices, clinics, and outpatient facilities where patients and staff spend extended time.

Why Locations Consider It

What drives the conversation.

It adds value for the people in the building
Employees, members, and residents get a convenient option without leaving the space. That matters for retention and day-to-day satisfaction.
It requires minimal involvement from the host
The setup is designed to run without adding workload to property management or office staff.
It uses existing space
A corner, a breakroom wall, or a common area nook. No major renovation or buildout required.
It is a simple amenity with a clear purpose
People understand self-serve retail immediately. There is no learning curve for the building or its occupants.

What We Are Looking For

The right location is the starting point.

We are looking for South Florida locations that fit a straightforward set of criteria. If your space checks most of these, it is worth a conversation.

  • Regular daily foot traffic from employees, residents, or members
  • A shared area, breakroom, lobby, or common space where people gather
  • Located in South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward, or Miami-Dade counties)
  • Management or ownership open to evaluating the concept
  • Enough space to accommodate a small self-serve setup
Still figuring it out?

That is fine. We are in early conversations with locations that fit different criteria. If you think your space could work and want to talk through whether it makes sense, reach out and we will go from there.

What Happens Next

A short conversation first.

There are no commitments required from the first conversation. The goal is to understand the space, the daily traffic, and whether a self-serve setup would actually fit.

If it makes sense after that conversation, we put together a simple plan specific to your location and talk through what the setup would look like. Everything moves at a pace that works for you.

How to start

Send a message using the link below with a quick description of your space. We will follow up to schedule a short call.
